Grand Designs Live London is this year showcasing a contemporary and cutting-edge two-storey, self build villa, designed to showcase the finest modern home innovations the sector has to offer.
Inside will be a wide selection of UK product launches – as well as a an architect-designed fascia, handmade kitchen with the latest appliances, stunning bespoke glazing with floor to ceiling windows, advanced decarbonisation control systems, home gym, beautifully landscaped outdoor areas, and much more.
The Grand House aims to inspire and educate visitors, demonstrating how to decarbonise a home using renewable energy solutions whilst maintaining luxury, bold design.
When visiting the house, people will be able to meet expert advisors from featured brands and discover the products available to purchase at Grand Designs Live.

House exterior
The exterior of the Grand House brings together innovative materials and thoughtful designs to create a bold, modern look.
It is designed with contemporary living in mind, with elements balancing style, durability and sustainability.
The façade itself is designed by Steven Cartwright of Cartwright & Gross Architects, creating a stunning first impression of the home, showing how carefully selected materials can work together to create a home that feels as impressive as it does practical.
Costentino supply Dekton® surfaces across the entire exterior, providing a seamless, clean and impressive finish.
Grabex Windows add bespoke steel glazing throughout, including oversized steel Reynaers windows to open up the kitchen and lounge.
A striking glass atrium acts as a standout feature of the exterior, bringing in natural light.
Hallway
The chandelier hanging in the hallway of the Grand House is Judit Kollo’s Phalaenopsis Doris chandelier.
Her pieces are beautifully crafted and inspired by the natural world – combining ceramics, illustration and technology.
The chandelier features delicate petal-like elements, with vein details that are designed to change shape over time, representing the four seasons.
In the hallway, the furniture is provided by Cult Furniture.
Kitchen & dining room
Nispero provides the kitchen furniture, alongside other pieces from Cult Furniture.
rThe windows in the kitchen and dining room are courtesy of Grabex Windows, whilst the appliances in the kitchen are from Smeg – offering visitors the chance to see how beautifully designed appliances can complement contemporary living spaces.
Living space
The living room in the Grand House has windows from Grabex Windows, as well as furniture from Cult Furniture.
Bedroom
The bedroom in the Grand House has wardrobes fitted by Smiths Fitted Wardrobes – high quality, made-to-measure pieces of furniture with sliding doors and media walls, maximising style and space and offering a diverse range of styles and finishes to suit all requirements.
Bathroom
The contemporary bathroom in the Grand House is designed by Roper Rhodes.
Decarbonisation area
Teratherm showcases its innovative Natural Energy system, encapsulating pipework in specially formulated resin-bound materials in the decarbonisation area at the Grand House.
These advanced materials offer exceptional heat absorption ensuring consistent thermal performance year-round – applied to surfaces like pathways, car parks and roofs, the system enables efficient heat capture, transfer and storage.
It’s a reliable alternative to traditional boiler systems, delivering sustainable heating precisely when it’s required.
Garden area
The garden area of the Grand House is something spectacular, featuring everything from an outdoor gym to decking, pergola and an outside seating set-up.
The aluminium and glass outdoor gym is by Westminster Outdoor Living, with equipment from REP Fitness.
The decking is from Timbosite, while the on-trend for 2026 pergola is from Gaviota UK, and garden furniture from Cult Furniture.
When is Grand Designs Live 2026?
Grand Designs Live 2026 will take place in London between the 1st and 4th May 2026 at ExCel London.
If you are unable to attend, or are looking for an event closer to you, Grand Designs Live in Birmingham will take place later in the year between the 2-4 October 2026.
