For more than 25 years Gregory Phillips Architecture and Interior Design has created timeless, expertly crafted homes. With a team of RIBA award-winning and highly skilled architects and interior designers the company has gained a reputation for open, light-filled spaces, rich materiality, precise detailing and a strong connection between inside and outside living.

When asked to build a new house to replace an existing dwelling on a spectacular woodland site overlooking the Thames in Berkshire, Gregory Phillips created a stunning modernist space that blurred the boundaries between inside and out while functioning as an intimate working home for the family of six.

An exquisite finish

From remodelling and additions, to contemporary new builds, each commission starts with the unique needs of the client. Says Phillips: ‘We are committed to delivering bespoke, exquisitely executed houses ensuring a tailored, holistic, one-of-a-kind solution perfectly suited to its owner’s lifestyle.’

When asked to give a six-bedroom Victorian home in West London a contemporary update while preserving its period grandeur, Phillips added a sculptural extension to the rear of the house. Clad in patinated brass panels the addition offered more sunlight and space to the ground floor while creating a seamless connection to the landscaped garden.
