How does a pocket door work?

How do I fit a pocket door?

Pocket door systems come in kit form and could be fitted by an experienced self-builder or competent DIY-er. Bear in mind that the frame must be installed at the finished floor level, or the opening of the door will be disrupted by the floor finish.
