Super safe panes

EOS’ range of fixed rooflights add a laminated inner pane – 8.8mm thick – to the toughened glass pane. This doesn’t just bolster security, but also has significant safety benefits. If the outer layer of toughened glass is broken, it will break into small shards. Without the laminated pane, those shards would fall to the floor – a safety risk, especially if you have children or pets. The EOS laminated pane, however, is designed to stay in one piece when broken, increasing the rooflight’s durability.

Energy efficient and sound dampening

In addition to boosting safety, the addition of an inner laminate pane as standard on all of the EOS range of flat fixed, modular and opening rooflights has other benefits too. There’s sound dampening, perfect for those who prefer the quiet life, but also superb energy efficiency. The EOS double glazed fixed rooflights boast a low ‘U Value’ – the standard measure of thermal transference – which means heat loss is kept to a minimum.

It’s good for your energy costs and for lessening the environmental impact of your home. If you want to do even more, EOS offers an eco-rooflight which is triple glazed and has an even lower U Value. All of this comes without cramping your home’s style. EOS rooflights have no internally visible frame, which lets natural light flood in without presenting an unnecessary visual barrier.
